Montel Williams Show

Thank goodness for YouTube! I don't have a TV and was traveling yesterday anyway when the Montel episode aired that had Lance Carroll and me on it. But I got an e-mail saying that it was uploaded on YouTube (oh and a wonderful photo of Noa and son watching it!)

We had a great time watching you. I'm so happy that mainstream media seems to have somewhat of an interest in telling the part of the story that the Christian Right doesn't tell. Thanks for doing your thing!

That's a cute photo, Noa.

I can't wait to get back to school so I can watch that YouTube video, Peterson! I felt so bad when the television autotuned to the channel the episode was going to be on and it was a black screen because my dad doesn't have the television program package to allow us to have that channel. But now I can see it whenever I want to! As soon as I can get to a better, faster internet connection, that is. ;D

Thanks for posting the segment, Peterson. Funny that Montel at first assumed that you were no longer Christian. I find that such assumptions make it much easier to share my faith as the difference between the Gospel and religion becomes very apparent.

It was great seeing you on Montel. You are a great public speaker. Hopefully one day I'll get to hear you in person.

tania, I actually turned 42 over the weekend, but iwas still a mere 41 when we taped Montel about 2 weeks ago.

so glad you found my blog and find it useful.

noa! thanks for the link to the photo.

jim, yes, we have to figure something out.

kj, good point. I was unclear of where he was going with the gay christian question at first but it gave me a chance to share a little bit about my faith.

elliot, let me know what you think when you see it.

What you won't do to get attention.

Did you know that Montel has the psychic Sylvia Brown on every week? She's fun to watch: I really like her nails - you'd definitely like her nails. I'd love to see you and Sylvia on the same show together.

Let us know when Oprah has you on (or better, Ellen). :)

Peterson,
I was never so proud of you than when you sort of "corrected" him and said "I'm a gay Christian now."
So awesome!
Thanks for sharing this because I wasn't able to catch it on air.
love and grace,
pam

For some reason...not you, Peterson...because you know me...but for someone else...
I feel compelled to offer this...

I'm not waiting for Peterson to come to his senses or to meet Jesus for real or any other thing like that....
I accept him AS IS as a brother in Christ...

someone needed to hear that...

love and grace,
pam

Confession: I'm reading this in class, so I haven't watched the clip yet. I will in an hour.

But...Pam, your comment made me cry. I don't know who else needed to hear it, but I needed to hear it. Especially today. Thank you so much.

Beautifully done.

You are the third person that I know that was a talk show this week, Helen and Betty Boyd (Helen's husband is transgendered) were on the Dr Keith Albow show today.

I liked watching you listen as much as I liked watching you talk...you showed grace and compassion as that 19 year old gave voice to his story.

Good job. I was very proud of you.

I enjoyed watching you listen as much as watching you speak. You showed so much grace and compassion by being still while that young man told his story.
